A client discovered a photograph of an 1830s Biedermeier desk in a magazine and was captivated by its design. She reached out to Joel, asking if he could create his own interpretation, granting him full creative freedom.

This exquisite desk is crafted from Bubinga, Ebony, Satinwood, Wenge, Birdseye Maple, and solid brass. Its construction incorporates intricate techniques, including bent laminations, showcasing Joel’s masterful woodworking skills.

The desk earned the prestigious Best of Show award at the Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge.

This Desk, like all of Joel’s pieces, is custom-made, giving you the freedom to personalize every detail, including size, layout, and wood selection.
