Biedermeier Secretary Desk
The client found a photo in a magazine of a 1830's Biedermeier Desk that she admired. She contacted me and asked if I could make my interpretation of the design. The
original desk can be seen on the Making of the Desk page. This desk is made of Bubinga, Ebony, Satinwood, Wenge, Birdseye Maple and Solid Brass. The curved sides of the desk are made with a technique called "bent
laminations". Some of that process can be seen in the photos on the Making page.
